9/20/09- This weekend 12 members travelled to HACC PSC for the trench rescue operations course. Members spent the weekend learing how to safely operate in a trench. This was the first time our new special operations trailer made the trip to HACC. We came home with a lot of knowledge and many ideas. Crash with Entrapment- Camp Hebron Road- Halifax Township
12/13/09- Today a period of freezing rain fell on the Halifax Area bringing 3 calls for Co 29. One of the crashes was a single vehicle overturned with one person entrapped. Chief 29-3 (Bisking) arrived and found a pickup truck that rolled with a single occupant still inside. Crews cribbed the vehicle and removed the drivers door and roof. The back of the bed and cab were also cut and laid down to allow straight removal of the patient who was taken to the local trauma center in serious condition.
